Hello again!
Let's not even get into how long it's been since I posted. I should update you on what I've been doing over the last 6 months or so.
Firstly, I've finished my degree! Graduated with first class honours in jazz performence at the sydney conservatorium on the 4th of April.
My recital was a huge success. Many people came and we all had lunch down at the opera house afterward. Many drinks were consumed by myself and others!
Since then, I've been hunting for a job. I didn't realise how hard it would be to get a job, but it turns out it's impossible! However, I'm not going to give up, I'll just continue to look and know I will find something!
Keeping busy, well I'm doing a lot of beta testing for various blindness products, most which I cant talk about due to NDA's with the respective companies, but let's just say the companies include, DancingDots, FreedomScientific, TandT-consultancy, Nuance and others. There are a lot of exciting things coming for those who use JAWS and Talks software.
Last weekend I had the luxury of going to Melbourne and checking out the international jazz festivle.
What an amazing event! I saw Herbie Hancock, Garry Berten, Chick Corea (multiple times), and many others. All the groups were well worth seeing and I'd definitely pay again!
Also managed to get to a Chick Corea master class and that was pretty good. A lot of the stuff he said was extremely interesting.
Got plenty of gigs at the moment, Those who are in Sydney come to my gigs!
So all in all, I'm pretty happy, life is good, and I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of you at BMC this year. Oh and if anyone would like an album, just email me. They are $20. For those who are interested, there will be another album coming out soon with some more original matterial and it will be a mixture of duet and solo pieces. I'll play some of the pieces at camp. I'm busy writing them at the moment.
Ciao!
