He looked at the text message he received: "Hey BRO wanna go out on a date? loljk I'll come over around 5 to pick u up!"
Aside from the horrible grammar, why did he call it a "date"?
He sighed as he buttoned up his shirt and waited for his brother to come knocking. Well, it couldn't be all that bad, he hadn't seen his brothers in a while.

'Jenjang, Ren...Relax. You're only nervous because you're trying to bring everyone back together. That's all. That's all it is.'
He took a deep breath, tried to smooth back his stupid curl, which didn't work, and straightened his long-sleeved t-shirt, the ends of said sleeves hanging past his thumbs. Just the way he liked them. He tugged back the right sleeve to check his watch. Five o'clock. Right on time.
He shook his sleeve back down, and raised his hand to knock, butterflies suddenly roaring to life in his stomach. Ah well...Now or never. His fist hitting the door as he knocked resounded through the hallway and startled him, but he kept his composure as he waited for the door to open.

"Are you ready then? Where are we going?" he asked. He absentmindedly played with the tip of his ponytail, twisting it around his fingers.

"It's not like Panda Express is it?" he said with a sour look.

As they neared the restaurant, Ren grinned. "This is it!" he said proudly, taking Yao by the hand and leading him inside to be seated at a table.

And then he realized he was holding hands. He quickly tried withdrawing his hand before anyone could notice.
He took a deep breath. Everything smelled so good!

He shook his head and pushed the ache away, ignoring it, like he usually did, and took a seat opposite Yao in their booth.
"So, do you know what you might order?" He asked, picking up the menu and looking through it. Honestly, Ren knew what he wanted, but he had to make sure they served it, first.

He leaned in close, and tried to see what Ren was looking at.

"Since it's my treat, you can have whatever you want." He said, grinning. The grin faded just a bit when he caught a whiff of Yao's scent and his head started reeling. That was...pleasant. His face flushed just a tint of pink and he cleared his throat.
"I'm ordering Kimchi, of course." He said quietly. "I want to see what kind they have here, since there are so many different ones you can make."

"Can I get that?" he asked quietly as he pointed. He noticed the sweet, masculine smell of cologne coming from Ren. He liked it, and lingered a bit longer.

"Depending on the region and the season will depend on how it's prepared, too. There are so many different ways you can make it, and I haven't found a Kimchi I haven't liked." His face was beaming, until he realized how close Yao was leaning in, and his eye traveled to where he was pointing.
"Of course." He said, his voice growing softer, and a little un-Ren-like, as he was usually loud and boisterous. "Like I said, you can get what ever you want." Ren's eyes traveled back up to catch a glimpse of Yao's face and he suddenly realized that he found Yao to be very...beautiful...
He didn't say it, but he couldn't keep himself from staring.

They placed their orders and waited patiently.
"We can have a taste of each others' if you like?"
A short while later, the food came, sizzling hot and spitting. Yao's stomach growled when he smelled the sweet scent of beef.
