I was going to do a first impressions meme when Gino hit 1k, but he's 300 comments away from that and, you know, I'll probably hit that this weekend in the midst of my rapeshifts. juri loev working!! Which means I would inevitably forget to finish that meme or would have hilarious responses.

Azula's opinion on Gino is sort of divided into two things. First is how Gino is on his own with his personality. And...well it makes Azula do the face in my icon. HE'S A LOT LIKE TY LEE. And that's enough to make Azula pause and give a second glance through if only for the sheer trainwreck value. It doesn't mean she's closer to being endeared to him since, well, Ty Lee annoys her sometimes (case in point, asking Azula for a title like his after talking to him *shakefist at Gino's influence*), but it does mean that she has practice of dealing with his temperment and probably would be less angry bristling fire-throwy if he continued to be ^_^ at her as long as he showed her the proper respect. But see that's all judging Gino on his value as a person and that's not how Azula rolls.
The real thing that she needs to solidify her opinion of him is where does he fit in with everything. Azula loev political intrigue and Gino just managed to slide himself in as a very interesting player but she's going to try and feel him out more, especially by seeing how Kallen and Suzaku react to him. All she's sure of so far is he's in a high position and knows stuff, which of course she wants to be privvy to. But for the sake of keeping stuff nice and non-R2 kablooey she'll take a patient route and just ingratiate herself to him for the time-being. She basically wants to like him, because he's of interest to her motives and if he's really anything like Ty Lee having him as an ally is really good for her (especially since betrayal sucks a lot).
Ahaha the Britannia thing. I should probably do an essay of it. Lots of Geass members piqued her interest when she first showed up. Cornelia was a competent!princess, Suzaku was ever so polite and willing to do things for her, Euphie immediately got on her bad side for being supportive of Zuko having a spine, and of course Lelouch was the prissiest fun toy to badtouch she's had in ages. From what she understands of their views, Britannia is a lot like the Fire Nation in terms of power and ruthlessness. Maybe even moreso since, being a Nick show, the Fire Nation has a lot of forgiving policies despite being the super bad guys. But it's not like Azula isn't willing to do any of that, she just thinks she's good enough not to need to. The other thing that gets her is, despite that, what she hears from Kallen and people who aren't Geass cast, is that Japan and China are a lot more like the Fire Nation in terms of culture. So Britannia has become sort of her primary hypothetical lesson on how "ur doing it wrong" and what she should learn from. For example: letting some masked figure (who happens to be an exiled royal with their own ideas of justice) take up so much of their efforts? Bad form.
Because Floor would kill me Gino and Kallen finally get "a date" in camp. How would you want it to go?

OH GOD. Gino would want to make the date fun, since he knows Kallen isn't exactly the delicate sort of girl. This would probably involve a visit to the lake, where many antics would ensue (and the moodcrab would probably be used as a distraction for Marcy, oops). Afterwards, he'd insist that the date wasn't ruined! Things are totally fine! Let's go see the commoner bar, Kallen!
And then it would be at this point that Kallen would suckerpunch him and leave him in a ditch. :(

Iiiiiiiii'm pretty happy with things as is really. But just for extra happy:
1. Masumi-chan from Nodame Cantabile. Because I want to fulfill my apping pattern of characters that have two devoted mafia/minions/bitches, plus he's a gay, gay afro'd timpani player that can be summoned by mentioning Chiaki's name and throwing salt at people who molest him. It's great.
2. Aang! Because title character of Avatar. And even if his appearance makes Azula >( and all Aang = happy Avatar castmates, and happy Avatar castmates mean win for everyone. And antics. Many antics.
3. SOMEONE FROM VENTURE BROS. Most especially the Monarch. Because he's a butterfly-theme'd supervillain who thinks peeing on his archrival's robot is appropriate revenge. Also he arranges blind dates on the livejournal~
Can you name anything that you know camp has waiting in the wings that could make even Gino facepalm? If not that, his plan of action to making Suzaku smile now that he knows it's possible.
