Title: Giving Birth in the living room
Fandom: Dawson's Creek
Characters: Bessie Potter, Joey Potter, Evelyn Lindley, Jen Lindley
Prompt: 029. Birth
Word Count: 353
Rating: PG
Summary: The story of how Bessie Potter gives birth to her son Alexander, takes place during season 1 episode Baby.

An: some of the dialogue used is actually from the episode.

Bessie Potter couldn’t believe this. She was stuck in a house with 3 teenagers and a woman who condemned her and her family. This was not anyway to give birth. She should be in the hospital, but this stupid Podunk town had only one hospital, and one ambulance. And despite her yelling at the 911 operator earlier, it would still be another hour or so before the ambulance would arrive, if it did arrive. She wanted drugs, and she wanted Bodie by her side. But she wasn’t going to get that.

She took a deep breath and wish her life could have lead her anywhere but this spot right now. Here she was 26 about to give birth to her first child, raising her teenage daughter, and getting scorn from the woman in front of her since her boyfriend was black, and her father was a drug dealer.

She loved Bodie though, and was glad she was about to have his baby, but carrying him was beginning to be exhausting. “Ooohhhh..” escapes her lips as she pushes again.

“The Baby’s beginning to crown.” Mrs. Lindley comments as she squats in front of Bessie.

Jen Lindley stands to the side. “Oh, I can see the baby’s head.” The 16 year old observes, excited to be witnessing the miracle of life.

“That's it. Your almost there just a little bit longer now. That's it, Dear. That's it, Dear. Just one more little push. Its almost over.” Mrs. Lindley’s voice is calm as she talks to Bessie, her nurses training coming in handy.

Bessie shakes her head, sweat is pooling down her face. “I can’t, I’m too tired.”

“Dear, you can and you will.”

Bessie is about to protest again when her sister Joey comes in from where ever she had gone with dawson. The sisters exchange a look, and Joey takes a hold of Bessie’s hand. As Bessie feels Joey holding her hand, she gets a last bit of strength and knows that everything is going to be okay, and manages to give one final strong push, allowing her new baby to enter the world.

Title: Not enough into something more
Fandom: Dawson's Creek
Characters: Doug Witter, Jack Mcphee
Prompt: 034. Not Enough
Word Count :573
Rating PG-13
Summary: In the beginning of their relationship, Jack calls Doug to work out some issues.

Jack Mcphee dressed in soft blue pajamas was pacing around the living room of his small apartment. He couldn’t believe he was in this situation. Jack really liked the guy that he was seeing, but he didn’t think he was getting enough out of the relationship. It felt like he had been given a whole lot more to the relationship than Doug.

Jack knew that Doug was trying. It just didn’t feel like he was trying as hard as he should be. It was also hard, since Doug wasn’t out of the closet yet, and Jack had been out for years. He wanted Doug to be where he is, and he couldn’t go back to where Doug was. It just wasn’t fair to either of them, and it seemed to be hurting them both in the long run.

He heard a soft knocking on the door, and knew that it is Doug, whom he called and asked if he would come over. Jack walked to the door, and unlocked it, opening the door, and letting Doug come in without saying anything.

"Hey." Doug was wearing his uniform still, and his voice seemed to carry a heavy trace of weariness. Doug tried to give Jack a hug, but Jack pulled away.

"Hey," Jack went to go sit on the couch, and motioned for Doug to sit on the couch as well.

Doug frowned seeing the face that Jack had, very stern. "I can guess what this means. Don't lie to me and say its not me, its you though, please." Doug's face dropped as he watches the carpet.

Jack sighs. "I wasn't going to say that. I don't know if I want to break up with you. I like going out with you. I just..." He paused, watching Doug a minute. The man looked so forlorn, he just wanted to bring him into a big hug, and he was reminded of some of the reasons he feel in love with him in the first place.

"I'm sorry this isn't enough for you. I wish I knew how to just let my fears subside, and be able to be who you want me to be." Doug looked up at Jack for a second.

"I don't want you to be something you aren't Doug. I just want you to not be scared of your emotions, and who you are. I didn't mean to give you the impression, I wanted to change you."

Doug moved closer to Jack, and kissed him impulsively. "Give me a second chance, I am trying." He whispered.

Jack pulled him into a long hug. "I know. I am sorry, I am so impatient. It is hard when we are on two different levels."

Doug nods. "Let me try something then." Doug kissed him softly on the forehead, and then took out his cell phone.

"What are you doing?" Jack tilted his head at him curiously.

"I figure I could make a step by calling someone and telling them I was in love with you."

"Pacey? or one of your other family members."

Doug nodded.

"Okay."

Doug dialed Pacey's cell phone number, and listened for a few minutes. "I'm in love with Jack." Doug then hung up, "His voice mail. I could call him at..."

Jack stopped him with a kiss, and pulled the cell phone out of Doug's hand. "Later." He murmured, bringing Doug into a deep hug, and kissing his forehead.

Title : Dawson's Ending
Fandom: Dawson's Creek
Characters : Dawson Leery, Andie Mcphee
Prompt 003. Ends
Word Count : 451
Summary: Dawson wraps up production on a new series.

The woman her red hair trailing in ribbons behind her head runs as quickly as she can in her high heels. The man in the trench coat has been looking for her for sometime, and she is terrified for her life. Her heart is pounding in her ears, and her heart is racing.

She turns a corner and the man is in front of her with a death grin plastered on his face, his brown hair haggard and falling into his face making him more gruesome-looking.

“Cut.” Dawson Leery says getting out of the director’s chair, a smile on his face. He is glad to be wrapping up the season for his newest show. “Thanks everyone that was a great season. I will see you all hopefully next may for shooting of season 7.”

As he goes around giving the cast hugs for their great work, he knows that the network is going to hate him for using another cliffhanger ending. He had started doing cliffhanger endings since Season 3; mainly because he knows the network won’t cancel another series that ends in a cliffhanger. They don’t want another major fan riot on their hands again. The powers that be have been wanting to cancel the show for three years, but Dawson knew with this season finale there was no way they were going to cancel it.

His cell phone rings in his pocket. He looks as the name that flashes “Andie.” and smiles picking up the phone. “Hey, Dr. Mcphee.”

“Hey yourself, old pal, so how are things going?” She sounds as bubbly as ever. Even her working almost all the time hasn’t taken the happiness from her. In fact it seemed to make her sound more happy. Dawson was glad, even though they were both workaholics, they still kept in touch as much as possible.

“I am good, just got finished wrapping up the season.” The smile on his face grows wider as he says it.

“I am glad. So, you are going to be able to end the series how you want it to be ended.” It is a statement not a question.

“Yes, this series is going to be true to my vision the whole way, and isn’t going to be changed on a whim like The Creek was.” He always regretted leaving The Creek, it was his baby for a long time, but he wanted to expand its horizons. He was still proud of it, though after he left it tarried from his vision of the show, but this series, this series would be a hundred percent his baby, and would end how he wanted it to end, and the execs could do nothing about it.
