Now you suggested that I make my journal more interesting looking--- how do I go about doing that? I ave minimal webdesign skills. Do you know anyone who would be willing to lend their services?

If you can get me a picture for your BG and all that I could help you. The only problem is I don't know how to explain it so I'd have to use your PW to get in and I don't see a serial_adder trusting anyone with their journal password.
i'm not good at it either. but i have a friend that i try to stay in competition with and i find ways. like, i go to 'help' then 'FAQ' and find ways to spark up my journal looks. yours is fine.. it's not bad.. heh i can't believe i'm befriending a serial friend
