10 thousand pesos up for grabs at Digital Overdrive!
MECHANICS FOR ON-THE-SPOT DIGITAL ART CONTEST:
1) The contest is open to artists of all ages, with or without experience.
2) Contestants of the On-the-Spot Digital Art Contest are to follow the theme, "It's What's Inside that Counts" and must incorporate any of the latest Intel elements creatively in their works.
3) Contestants will be given 1.5 hours to interpret the given theme using Adobe Photoshop CS3 or Corel Painter XI, an Intuos 3 Wacom tablet and a high-speed, multicore computer unit powered by Intel Core 2 Quad.
4) Interested participants will have to pre-register for the one 1.5 hour use of the computer and tablet. Those interested may text or e-mail their names and contact numbers to 0917-8111086 or digitaloverdrive2007@gmail.com, together with their preferred schedule. (ex. Paula J., 0917-811086, Dec. 2, 2:00-3:30pm) Pre-registration schedule during the actual event is as follows: FRIDAY, 10:00am to 9:00pm, and Saturday, 9:00am to 12:00nn.
5) Contestants may bring their own paint brushes and textures. Pre-loaded actions, however, will not be allowed.
6) Entries will be judged according to the following criteria: Originality - 25%, Creativity - 25%, Quality of Work - 25% and Adherence to Theme - 25%.
7) After the eliminations, the top four (4) artists will be chosen to return for the digital animation finals. The winner will be awarded PHP10,000.00, while semi-finalists will win PHP 2,500.00 each.
