Sooo, apparently I'm going to Fandomfest which is in a couple weeks. What's really weird is that I'm going with people I've never thought I'll be going with to a sci-fi convention. I always thought it will be with geeky friends. But who knows? Maybe this will be an awesome time and I can convert some people into liking Babylon 5 or something. Wow, a chance to see Captain Sheridan (Bruce Boxlitner). I'm too lazy to go look up the spelling of his last name. Karl Urban, Kevin Sorbo and a bunch of Star Trek people. Heck yeah.
I'm not sure what to expect since this real be my first real convention. I guess I can count SugoiCon, but that was in 2001 and anime wasn't as popular then as it is now. I imagine SugoiCon is much bigger, better now. Maybe I should cosplay? But as who? What fandom shirts should I wear? I really don't want to spend $50 for an autograph, but just to see them a few feet away will be fine. I'm so grateful that I have a camera now!!!
Maybe I will run into people that I've known in the past. I know at least two people are going. That will be interesting to see them after all these years.
Argh, I still have to go through a weekend of work and another damn chemo week. It's going to be rough with chemo being on Tues-Thursday. I'm hope I'm feeling well enough to enjoy the con.
In about an hour, I'll be leaving for this arts and crafts thing at the library. Trying to find things to do. So bored. It's hot outside. I'm tired of being on the computer and watching TV. I eat when I'm bored, and then gain weight. I wish the cancer will go away so I can live.
