Less than 2 weeks to go.... EEK!
Ok. So this is the part of the countdown where I begin to get REALLY excited and yet still manage to have my "Oh shit, it's here!" moments. I love Pennsic, but I hate the two weeks before big stuff like this. No matter how much planning I do, I always feel like there is something I'm forgetting. I never do forget anything, in fact I usually end up packing too much and wondering why the hell I brought that.
Thankfully, at this point all I need to worry about is freshening up my camping sheets, making touch ups on some of my garb (my bog dresses are WAY too revealing), making a couple more outfits, and finding all of the garb I already have (I swear it has feet). Oh, and packing the personal items. Although I think I'm going to cut way back on that. Somehow that seems to be my freakout obsession.
I need to get going on a couple of Pennsic gifts too. I've got one big one that's going to be for the camp as a whole, and a few smaller ones for some of the individuals. The small ones, I'll probably actually make some of at Pennsic. Nothing like procrastinating, huh? I've got to go to Earth Lore too, since somebody is in need of a rock.
Oh! Major point of excitement. Amy and Scott have asked me to ride along with them to Pennsic. This is cool for several reasons. 1) I get to travel with friends. Yay! This is so much better than going alone, which I can and have done. But since I can go with friends, why wouldn't I? 2) I get to go on the very first Friday. Ok, I was going to go on the first Saturday so this means I'll get there maybe 12 hours earlier than I would have anyway, but.... it's more time with friends. And 3) It'll be fun. Woo Hoo! I can't wait!
