Trodgor finally passed on sometime early this morning. I had fed her babyfood around 1:00am, right before I went to bed. She didn't seem overly weak or anything but had been a little less active for the past couple of days. Her tail had been very skinny for the past month though and she hadn't really been showing any signs of improving, so maybe it was just her time. I'm really sad but sort of relieved because if she had been in any pain, she's not now.
here she is a week or two ago:
eating babyfood:
here are a few from when she was younger, right after I first got her:
here's a nice poem I found:
A POEM FOR THE GRIEVING
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die...
