I went to the grocery store and bought some meat babyfood for Trogdor. Since leos are carnivorous, I figured it would probably be better to feed her meat rather than the fruit that my crestie eats. I got chicken and another one that has like turkey and vegetables or something. I offered her some of the chicken babyfood on a spoon and she ate it on her own!! She ate about half a small spoonful. So that made me very happy because I didn't really like force feeding her. I mean it's good for her to eat and it probably made her feel better to have something in her stomach since I don't know when the last time she actually ate a cricket was, but I just feel bad holding her mouth open and forcing strained apricots down her throat. She ate it on her own the first time, but then the next time I offered it to her she wouldn't eat it. Maybe she just didn't like it because they don't normally eat fruit. She seemed to really like the chicken though. I'm thinking that she was stressed out from the trip down here and the temperature change. The temperature itself was pretty much the same, but the leos are used to 40% humidity and it's a hell of a lot more humid down here. But I put the leos into a 20 gallon tank and with the lights on top, it keeps the humidity level in the cage right at 40% like it was in the old tank back in Pittsburgh. I mean it's not horribly humid in the house, but more humid than the dry stale air in my old apartment.
