School and Testing

A small update to let you know what's been happening!

I went to visit the school I'll be on placement at today. Really lookig forward to it now, our topic is really good and we've been coming up with loads of exciting ideas. In a way I'm regretting that I'll miss part of it, but then when I got home my tickets had arrived for the gig and now I'm not regretting it so much. To be honest I'm not even excited about it for the actual gig now, I'm more looking forward to meeting new people and visiting London in general. The girl I'm staying with seems really nice and if we get on well I might even be able to persuade her to let me stay at hers if I get a job interview down in London.

I've got my QCA maths skills test tomorrow, it's one of three (the others are English and ICT) that I have to pass in order to qualify as a teacher. I'm not too worried about the maths because I love it and it's my specialism, altough I will be nervous when it comes to the timed mental arithmetic questions because you only get a few seconds per question! The one I'm most worried about is English, I'm quite good on normal grammar, but the QCA practice test that I tried was really hard and I know one of the English specialists failed it, which is a worry!
