I got this email with strange thoughts in it. Some of them were just stupid, but here are a few of the better ones for you to think about:
How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
Can you cry under water?
How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.
Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride; he sticks his head out the window?
Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
Why did you just try singing the two songs above?
XP My personal favourite is the toaster one, I actually laughed out loud.
I went to the pub tonight with my best friend, Charlotte. We had some food and it was really nice to chat and catch up. She has brown hair, but for years it has been really blonde because she's had so many highlights put in, two days ago though she went to the hairdressers and had it dyed back to dark brown. It looks really good now, and also a lot healthier because it looked quite dry before. I was surprised that it wqasn't such a big shock when I saw her with dark hair, I thought it would be really strange, but I guess it's because I knew her for years and years before she started getting her hair highlighted.
I'm in the middle of my first school placement at the moment as well. I go into a school on Wednesday and Thursday to start practising teaching and to learn how to teach. Luckily I've been given a really nice school which is only about 20 minutes from my house. It's a small village school, with only one class per year and the children are really well behaved, especially in the year 3 class I am in. The class teacher is really nice as well and really helps us out with everything, which is great! We do this placement in pairs and I'm with a girl called Stephannie who is the same age as me, she's really nice, which makes it an even nicer placement. It must be awful to be placed with someone you really don't get on with!
Anyway today I took my very first lesson. It was literacy and I though it went quite well. We had to read Rumplestiltskin to the class at the beginning and me and Steph took it in turns to read a page each. She did the character voices a lot better than me, so next week when we are assessed (we are being assessed for the second and third lesson we do!) she is going to read the entire story and I'm going to explain the tasks and work through examples on the board. I'm really enjoying it so far! It's great to actually feel like I'm teaching and all my experience last year and from my degree is really helping me to come up with ideas for lesson plans. Even the class teacher asked for a copy of our lesson plans because she thought they were really good!
I really should go to bed now because it's midnight and I have to be up at 7am tomorrow to go to college, but my brother has only just got out the bathroom which is why I have had time to write all this. I only came on to check my emails originally!
