I'm the street you walk
The language you talk
I am the city
The skylight is me
And the energy
I am the city

- I Am The City, ABBA

This week has passed really well. Got some new pieces to play in piano, all of them a tad bit trickier than those I usually play. March of the Dwarves by Grieg which has octave jumps I'd rather eat... boogers than play fast at this very moment. A prelude and fugue by Bach, both very beautiful but requiring a bit of brainpower to play. And yet still, my teacher liked my knack at prima vista reading. (For those of you who don't know, it's the ability to play sheet music the first time you see it and make some sense of it all. Italian for "first sight".) Can't wait 'til I get access to the grand piano rooms, she said I should've had it since I got my card. But whatever, I can wait if I get to play on pianos which aren't...well, pianos rather meant for simple accompaniment than a solo piece. One is too loud, another one has a low E that doesn't make a sound when you press it... I could go on.

Ensemble has been great. We're playing Beatles' "It's Getting Better All The Time". My part is kinda monotonous, but it's a nice song and everybody knows their instrument FOR ONCE. Not know their instrument as half-knowing how to play them, but knowing them as in having played it for like four years or more and being damn good at it. The singing sounds great, the guitar, bass, drums... it's all great! Only one problem though... I don't know how the heck I'm supposed to be able to switch from the Piano sound to the Electrical Piano sound in the matter of 1/4 note...

I'm really weird. Or starting to become really weird. I clean without nobody telling me. Clean the entire APARTMENT, at that. With that I mean doing the laundry, ironing, making the beds, vacuuming, clean the bathrooms, polishing the silver and brass candelabras... it's creepy. I don't know WHAT'S happened at all to me. Before I went to dad, I didn't care much for cleaning but now I'm like Bree Van De Kamp Lite and it's freaking out pretty much everyone I know. Nothing bad about it though, just... yeah. Weird.
