Cooking class today, we were divided into pairs drawing a piece of paper from our teachers hand, I got "Fish 1" but traded it with another guy so I got "Chicken 1" instead. So me and Jonathan decided to make chicken fajitas which went fairly well I guess, for a newbie at making tortillas I felt fairly good at it. While Jonathan made the chicken and did most of the dishes, I made the wraps and cut the vegetables up and made a sauce. We had a little competition against the kitchen behind us, which one of us made the best sauce. Mine won, containing Turkish yogurt, tabasco, salt, curry, chili and garlic. The other team lost; Daniel made an absolute horrid sauce with way too much salt and pepper. Then when he said he'd improved it, it tasted like soap which was exactly that. He had put soap in his sauce and OMG, I can't remember washing my mouth that much before. It all went well, although we were the last people to leave having part of the dishes undone.
My brother's birthday today! We just had dinner, didn't eat too much since cooking class is our last class of the day and I had three fajitas. YES, I know, that's a lot. But chocolate cake waits for us in a while, chocolate cake with lemon curd or apricot cream inside it. GOD, it's delicious! Served with whipped cream it's the perfect embodification of decadence. Can't wait!
