washu!!!
i'm back in st. louis! moved in on monday, now just finishing the unpacking - our room is mostly done. and last night 'tine and i put together our awesome entertainment center! the coolest thing under the sun that you can buy for 12 dollars. we got six colorful plastic crates from target and some purple rope, tied them together, and viola! creative, cheap, and space efficient. we set up the tv and the vcr/dvd player right away. the only snag is that the player only comes with the cables you need for the vcr to work, NOT the dvd. oh, silly us, to buy a combo player and expect to use BOTH components! no, apparently the connection that lets you use both is "optional-preferred", so we will have to go back to best buy and scout out the other cables. what craziness. and of course, they don't mention this on the box so you don't find out that you don't have what you need until you get to that part of the manual. well, at least for now the vcr works and the picture on the tv is great. now i'm just sorting through papers and the like. good luck to everyone moving in!
