My dad redeemed himself...
I thought my dad wasn't going to fund any of my kitchen needs, and after the spat we had on Thanksgiving, I thought he wasn't going to help me at all.
Fast forward to Saturday. We're in Meijer (the Midwest's answer to Wal-Mart), looking at food processors. And sure enough, we spot a 12 cup Hamilton Beach food processor that's ON SALE. He asks me if I need one, and I tell him yes... it's useful for soups and other things. It also comes with a 4-cup mini work bowl for smaller jobs.
So we brought it home. Haven't used it yet... I'm debating what to make first. Nut butter? Pesto? Mayonnaise? Tomato sauce? I've also heard I can make pie crust...
