It has been awhile. Geez...Ironman was my last post.
I started my new job this week. When anyone asks how's it going, I reply, "I found a used Q-tip in my desk drawer: yellowed with the cotton pulled from the stick. That is how my week is going."
The upcoming week should be better since I am done with new hire stuff. I bought a peace lily for my desk, but it is so pretty I am thinking of leaving it in the apartment and taking my sick one to work. I went berserk on
Etsy this evening buying office decor and cute animal prints. I figure if I put enough kitschy stuff around the office, it will cancel out the gloom.
We had dinner with Kelly, Brian, Adam, and Erin last night. Weird seeing so many people from Tech in Seattle. I love having Adam and Erin here. She has Sex and the City DVD's and when Adam is not being worked to death, he cooks and sometimes shares it. They got this awesome penthouse apartment with a wrap around deck that my gardening thumb is very jealous of.
The wedding planning is coming along. My free trial of Photoshop expired in the middle of website building. Why oh why are you $600? Once the website is done, we only have to book the ceremony musicians and mail out the save the dates before we fall into that long lull that occurs between booking vendors and the shit-storm of activity that starts four months out. Unfortunately, for me that lull will be spent prepping for the bet din and finishing up my conversion. I was so happy to find out that I can be alone in the mikvah. Having a lady touch me while I am naked in a tub is not my idea of a good time, well maybe if she is really hot and naked too... nevermind just tried to picture it and yeah I am not even mildly bicurious.
So that is my life in a nutshell: I hate used Q-tips, I want to hang out with Erin and watch Sex in the City, and wedding planning is actually getting done.
