Life's been tumultuous lately. I was extremely happy to have David down here for two whole weeks. He took some vacation time and spent it all with me, yay! He finally had to head back to OC on Wednesday.
The only downside to his visit was on Tuesday I was given court summons for the whole fire thing. Now I've got to get a lawyer and respond to the summons. It's looking like it will cost me $250-$350 an hour, but what else can I do.
Yesterday I was up visiting David, and that was nice. He's letting his whole family know that we want to renew our vows and have a wedding ceremony sometime this November. Unfortunately most of his family won't be able to travel, so it looks like we'll be doing it in Nebraska. Otherwise, it'd DEFINATELY be in Washington.
On my way I home yesterday, I realized what the date was, and was really sad. My mom died a year ago. I spent a few hours just remembering all the time I spent up there taking care of her. I'm glad I got to say goodbye, though I still wish I had been present during her final moments. I love her, and miss her to this day.
I called and talked to Kenny. He finally filed the papers to transfer my mom's stock. Hopefully I'll be getting the back payment on the dividends soon. Maybe it'll be enough to knock out one of my credit cards, or at least help cover the lawyer fees.
Also, I start my college class soon. I can't wait to finish up my AA degree, I'm sooo close, but it'll take me a while to finish doing college part time on top of working full time.
In the mean time, I spent time on Vanguard gaming as well as spending what spare time I can with my friends. I'm trying to stay calm and trying to keep afloat financially. I can't wait to be living with David again. We've both missed living together, and as soon as his lease is up, we'll be together again. That is a joy I look forward to every day.
