Holy crap! She's Alive!!

Yeah, yeah I know I know . . . It's been over a year since I lasted posted, and I kinda fell out of habit writing in here. I'm sorry. One of my New Year's resolutions is to keep up with my blog. I'm also considering making my own youtube show . . . I just have to see if youtube will accept 3GPP type files.  I think they will, but who knows. If not, I'm sure I can find an editor somewhere. Another one of my resolutions is to get on track with my transfer to a university. I've already got all my transcripts and test scores sent, so all I have to do is fill out applications and send them in with essays and fees. I finished the one for Grand Valley last week and they're looking it over now. Who knows, maybe this time next year will find me at the University of Michigan, Michigan State or Grand Valley. I'm excited and scared all at the same time. All 3 are big name colleges, and I think I should have little to no problem getting into the latter 2, it's U of M I'm worried about, but people have been telling me that it's much easier to get into UM as a transfer rather than as a freshman out of high school. I'll know for sure in a few months (April by the latest I would think).

I've been working at the college library since the beginning of September, and I worked at Tokyo from March thru August. I've been promoted to the Gov. Docs section of the library in addition to my Circulation Desk duties. I like it a lot, and actually, that's where I'm working today. I'm currently at my Gov Docs desk, with the laptop I use to process the shipments. :P It has a wireless card, and I <3 tons. It's not the best laptop in the world, but it's a lot better than everyone was telling me. It's about as old as my desktop at home, the only downside is that it needs to be plugged into the wall constantly, because the battery can't hold a charge and they haven't ordered a new battery for it yet. It does all that I need it to, so I'm VERY happy with it. That and the fact that I GET MY OWN DESK!! YAYAYAYAY!!!!! I cleaned it up over break and Eunice says it's the cleanest she's ever seen that area. O.o I can't work in a messy area, so I had to clean it up. I just had no idea that no one else had. I love my anti-social Wednesdays. ^_^

Aiden is growing and thriving. He is slowly learning new words, and is walking and climbing all around the house. He is my all-around best buddy in the whole wide world.

hmm . . . . 20 more minutes to kill . . .

This will (Please God) be my 10th and final semester at NCMC. I've been here 5 years (holy crap!) and I think it's finally time to move on. So, for my Final Semester, I am taking:

COM 111 - Speech - Dr. Shumway
ENG 232 - American Lit. 2 - Jami Blaauw-Hara
PHL 297 - Special Topics: Philosophy of Sex - Dr. Payne
PHO 100 - Basic Photography - Dunaske (at least this is online, I don't think I could stand him in person)

I've taken Interpersonal Communications already, but most Universities I've looked at want you to take both in order to get your bachelors, so I figured I might as well take care of it up here with a teacher I'm comfortable with. After this semester is finished I'll have 113 credits, and an Associates Degree ( well I already have the associates, but you only need 60 credits to graduate) :P Luckily, pretty much everything will transfer to the colleges I'm looking at (either Credit or competency) so that shouldn't be too much of a  problem.

ARGH! 10 more minutes to kill. I though that would have taken me longer to get through!

At least next year I can start learning Japanese in earnest. Watching Japanese television helps, but it just doesn't cut it. I have a feeling that when I transfer, I'll be able to concentrate more on the electives I need to graduate, rather than all the crappy requirements like English comp, lit, speech, etc. that bore me to tears and aggravate me. I'll be able to have a little bit more fun in my classes while getting used to the University way of life. What the Dining Services offer are awesome from what  I've seen so far, it makes what we have up here look like a tiny crappy high school caf.

Yay! It's almost time to go!! Better start wrapping up stuff . . .
