Well, it looks lie I'm going to be doing a bit of an overhaul on my computer this year. Call it my resolution. There's nothing really wrong with it, no viruses or spyware or anything. It runs fine, but I just want to get it up to date with all the hardware that's on the market right now. My CD-RW drive that I've had for 3 1/2 years finally crapped out last week. If you know me well, you know that I use it A LOT for making my mix CDs and CD-Rs of anime and stuff I download. Ian took a look at it and said that it was pretty much its time to go. So, I've decided to update a lot of the hardware, considering that CD-RW is as old as the computer itself is. I'm looking into getting a fast DVD-R drive, a Firewire card (for video editing), re-hooking up my Pocket PC and getting that all cleaned back up, an extra hard drive (either internal or external) so I have more space for stuff (my mp3's alone take up at least 10 gigs of space on an 80 GB hard drive that has my OS on it as well), new ink cartridges for my printer/scanner/copier, and a general spring cleaning of my computer with a little help from Cory and Ian (so I know what I can get rid of safely that I don't need/use to free up some space on my computer. My computer has been damn faithful to me the past 3 years, and I feel it deserves a bit of an upgrade so I can keep using it for at least another 3 years. I love my computer and I wanna treat it well.
I've finally got a chance to go get my back looked at. It's to the point where I'm in constant pain, and sitting and laying down (either on my back or tummy) puts me in excriciating pain. Ian said he could get me set up with his neighbor, who is a chiropractor, and kinda knows me, and see what he can do to help fix my back. I think my back problems are the main reason why I haven't been getting restful sleep lately. I sleep, but I always feel exhausted when I wake up in the morning. Getting my back cracked by Ian or Mari helps, but the relief only lasts about a day or so, and then I'm right back to where I was before. :(
hmmmm . . . another 2 hours left at the front desk, I'm sure I'll post again before I leave :)
