long weekend :)
I don't have much to say...other than I totally heart the US Open and I really really really heart John Isner. I need icons of him desperately :D
I'm going to see Amber today. I'm looking forward to it, and I know she is too. I'm really happy that Linda arranged it for us.
I did some social networking of sorts last night. Started out at one party...ended up at another. Had a really good time at both. However, there's nothing like seeing a student at a party to be such a mood killer. But, I don't have him in class and even if I did, I was only drinking Dr. Pepper (at that point, lol). Anyway, it was definitely an interesting evening for me in the backwoods of Scott County. And though I knew it before, it's really not that different than the backwoods of Russell County. At one point I really did feel like I was driving around Finney...haha. I met a lot of new people and I got to hang out with some co-workers and I enjoyed hanging out with them. Maybe this means I'll be able to hang out with more people in this area this year. It's harder during marching season, though.
Speaking of marching...first performance was Friday. The girls did okay during halftime. Pregame...was absolutely disgusting! GRR! I was so embarrassed, they were embarrassed, so the did redeem themselves during halftime. I know they were nervous and it was a high pressure situation because it was not only the first game, but it was against Richlands and it was the first game on the new turf. But...they can do better. And they will...they have to. Competition is less than a month away. Craziness! They're having a practice tomorrow. I'm gonna go...the first of my many appearances at weekly practices.
Last thing....how bout App State?! I like Michigan okay...but that game was awesome! As was UT-California, heh heh. ;)
