London and Queen's Club

Jun 16, 2009 17:46

As most of my flist already know, the AEGON Championships at Queen's Club, London, were held over the weekend. We had tickets for the semi-finals and the finals, and although Nadal had sadly pulled out due to a knee injury, I was still looking forward to seeing tennis live and in the flesh.

More London shenanigans )

I really want to go back again at some point... I think I'd enter the ballot for there before I'd try for Wimbly as it seems to be so much more intimate.

I loved it.

When will I learn?? Oxygen tanks next to all video input devices, desktop and mobile, at all times. You'd think I'd have learned after last year.

The squirrels were adorable!

I had such a great time, it was amazing. I did, however, have a small moment of mourning at just how close to Rafa I would have been had he come =(

I would very much like a pet squirrel now. *nods* I wish I'd got video of the one running up my leg, it was so cute.

I've never seen a wild squirrel. They look so cute!

The tennis stuff had me really looking forward to the London O2 Finals although I hope the crowd there are a bit more polite.

I'm sure you're going to have a blast at the O2! I was really shocked at the behaviour of some people. I haven't watched the final on TV yet so I don't know if it showed it, but as we were waiting for the players to come out some people in the crowd started to slow-clap, which I just thought was incredibly rude.

The only thing I noticed on the telly was people moving about a fair bit during play which I thought was rude as they were very much in the player's eyelines.
