I'm so thrilled for Roger, really I am. Although that moment with the guy storming the court terrified me, I thought for a horrible few seconds that it was going to be another Monica Seles.

Apparently didn't freak Roger out, though. Did you see the part of his post-match presser where he addressed it? He was like "I just wanted to get through the match."

This "stalker" has apparently pulled this type of stunt @ previous tournaments and is supposed to be "harmless."
I bet all the RG security except the one who tackled him gets replaced, though.

Yeah, I just read that apparently he's some sort of serial pitch invader. What an absolute tool.

I didn't get to see any of Roger's post match interviews, I just saw up to the trophy ceremony. I do think that Roger was a little rattled by it though no matter what he claims, at least initially. It seemed to take him a game to find his rhythm again... but who can blame him?

You're right (intuition dead on as usual). I can't remember it verbatim, but he said he probably should have taken some time between games to sit and recover but that he just wanted to "get through."

It sure would have shaken me up, Seles thoughts or no. But that kind of focus is why the man is a champion, I guess.
