I THINK I HAVE FOUND MY CHEMISTRY SAVIOR.
Last night in chemistry, the professor got to class late, and he ended up showing us a video as a short introduction to acids/bases. The guy is (I believe) a high school chemistry teacher. He has videos covering chemistry topics, and the videos are around five minutes long, with several videos covering one section. AMAZING. I've been having trouble with reaction rates/rate law/activation energy... I kept hitting a wall and not understanding what I was supposed to do. It doesn't help that I couldn't understand my notes for that chapter. So I watched the series of videos about chemical kinetics and YESSSSSS I get it now (for the most part). I think I can go take the test this afternoon with confidence!
ChemGuy on YouTube I watched a few videos last night of his introduction to organic chemistry... maybe, maybe O-chem won't be completely horrible with these videos as backup.
(btw, there is too much damn calculus in chemistry.)
Edit: Test didn't go... quite as well as I'd hoped. 3 or 4 questions were okay, but there were 2 or 3 that I went o_O holy fuck how do I do this one?? It's weird! Hopefully I didn't do horribly. If I passed I'll be happy- the professor curves the grades anyway, so... yeah.
