The game is afoot! After dragging myself out of bed, eating something to recover from a low blood sugar, and successfully drugging a recovering rat, I finally started reading at about 9:30ish.
...of course, I haven't read anything fun yet. I started off with some excerpts from Brigitte Warner's Orff-Schulwerk: Applications for the Classroom. This will really only interest you if you teach music...or you're interested in that kind of thing, I suppose. (For the record, I didn't really learn anything, which means my assignment to teach something Orff-based to 3rd and 4th graders is still going to suck hardcore.)
After that, I took a quick break to do a challenge! The challenge, hosted by
Bart's Bookshelf, is to "pull three or four books off of your bookshelves and use them to form a sentence, from the book titles." So, here's my sentence:
I was mildly amused by myself.
Next up, I'm going to try to power through Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, as promised. Isn't it pretty?
There's no date in it! I'm big on dates, so this makes me sad. But it does have a lot of really lovely pictures, so that will have to do. Onward!
