Spanish lessons of dooooom

Sep 21, 2008 18:01

I start spanish lessons tomorrow evening and i'm really scared! I told them i had done spanish before, which i have, so i'm not in the beginners group i'm in the slightly higher group. I'm still shit scared though, i'm a week late as i only got in touch with the school this week, and i'm really hoping that i'm not far behind everyone and make a complete pratt of myself. I am quite excitied too, though not looking forward to the hideously long hours i will be spending in maidstone. I will have to get the 8.00 bus which gets me there are 8.45, start work at 9.30 until 6.00, go for dinner somewhere, go to spanish lesson at 7.30 until 9.00, hopefully get bus home at around 9.15ish (this is supposing the bus turns up which it does not always do).

Other then this not much is happening. Work is going pretty well and i'm getting more in control of things. I had a review this week and Waterstone's are happy with me, apparently. One of the managers is going to start going through my sections with me, so that i can actually take full charge of them leading up to the christmas period. One thing that did concern me was her saying 'don't worry it will take you time to get to know your sections really well and know what sells. It takes a couple of years to become a really good bookseller'. I was just thinking 'i don't wanna be here in a couple of years'. I have brought the writers and artists' yearbook, and i now have a list of all the publishers and places that i want to apply to for work experinece for next year, so hopefully something will come up there. Other then this i am working a six day week next week, including weekend. But the week after i have three days off including the weekend and so i shall have to arrange to come down to canterbury and see eveyone! It has been too long!

Wow! that was a really long post for me. Life update over x

spanish, life
