I'd say my life was moving too fast but it'd be halfway lying.
Things to do before the move:
1. find all the stuff in this house that's mine that I've put in boxes over the .. oh.. say... 15 years I've been living here.
2. Sort through it, into 4 piles: trash, selling, storing again for future use, taking with me.
3. Throw all the trash I've already created since I started sorting through my stuff months ago into trash bags. Don't laugh, this is a big deal.
4. Pack 4 bookshelves worth of books into boxes. Learn to part with some of the books.
5. Wash *all* of my laundry and bedclothes, and pack it away in suitcases.
6. Sort through remaining stuff, also into the 4 piles.
7. Throw more of that trash stuff away.
8. Make arrangements for my cat to stay here.
9. Find my birth certificate.
10. Finish 3 websites.
11. Find a few more references for work.
12. Pull all my old stuff up from the basement, including many years worth of formal clothing.
13. Update resume, work history, and etc before the move.
14. Back up my computer to disc, just in case.
15. Make sure my iPod and playlists and things are all sorted for the drive to Vegas.
16. Buy sunscreen. Vegas is sunny!
17. See if we can afford some clothing to wear in a place that's always hot and sunny. Will I really need sweaters?
18. Spend time with mom, including cooking her that dinner I owe her and an all-day movie fest.
19. I'm also supposed to finish knitting that shawl, and a cross-stitch.
20. The other 5 things on Mom's 'list of things to do before you go'.
Also, my friend Becca is coming over every saturday night between now and the move, and my friend Erik's driving down from New York to see me, and I owe my other friends a dinner as well, and mom wants to work in a makeover party....
David flies here on the 25th.
