Gah..
Alot's been happening lately..
I had band camp last week, extremely fun!! We went to echuca for the week.
1st day, the bus broke down about 1 hour into the trip! We stood on the side of the road and waved to cars and trucks for 2 and a half hours.. we got 360, twohundredandsomething honks, 3 fingers, 3 WOOHOOS!, 1 YEAH BABY!, and about 50 flashing of lights! ..Mmhmm, thats how amusing it was! And the sad part is that we tallied the numbers of things we got -_- yup.. sad people we are, but hey! It was so much fun. Then we finally got there alot later than we were supposed to be.. so we didnt get to have a look around echuca or anything, we just had dinner basically, and Myself, Bazza, Eddie, Charli and Murray wrote a song! Just a new version of 'waltzing matilda', but hey it was good! And we had a band rehearsal that night too.
2nd day we woke up early, had brekky.. [or most of us did..] Then we had a steamboat cruise of the Murray River. It was fun! We kept [retending to be pirates and waving at the other boats.. and there were these weird people who looked like they were filming us for some t.v. program! They had a camera and they had microphones and they just filmed us waving at them! ..We looked like complete idiots too.. Man i hope that never goes on tv..... That night we had Trivia night! That was so fun, we had to have groups and we had this questionaire thing with all these subjects and we had to figure out the answers in our groups.. and there was a karaoke part in it, and a drawing competition of who could draw the teachers the best. Me and charli drew the teachers, they actually looked like them.. but we didn't win.. This really funny drawing of Mr Elshout won.. it was like 10 pages long with his body taking up about 8 pages! [mr Elshout is extremely tall, hence the use of so many pages].
3rd day, woke up early and had breakfast again.. we had archery/canoeing in the morning. I went to do archery. I suck so bad!! I should've gotten an award for suckiness! i hit the hay barrels a few times and the rest didnt make it -_-.. although, only a few people made it to the targets. Then we got the bus packed and we went to the Moama bowls club doolackie to perform, there wasn't all that many people there.. but hey, they thought we were okay. Then afterwards we packed up the bus again and went to St Josephs!! OMG!!! LOL!! LEPRACHAUN ALERT!! DOOD! They're outfits are so funny!! I was talking to this one girl who sat next to me while we were rehearsing and she was like 'Well we call you christmas trees' and i was like 'well we call you leprachauns!!' *murray and bazza burst out laughing*! Oh.. and the reason we have the funny names [bazza, eddie, murray etc] is because we were bein' homies. We wore hoodies and had a cap turned to the side. [lol don't ask, one of our spontaneous ideas]. But generally the rehearsal with Joeys was okay.. they suck pretty much, but we cover them up. There also wasn't very many people in the joeys band.. and there was only 2 clarinets [damnit!! no guy clarinettists *whinge*... typical..], but those were nice. And it was strange, St Josephs up there is a co-ed school.. unlike St Joeys down here in Geelong.. Its an all boys school.. And we all thought we were going to an all boys school.. hmmmm drat. ..But their conductor is really scary.. He's too... energetic for a conductor. He was like dancing around and jst banging his arm up and down to try and conduct and me and baz were like 'wtf?! *burst out laughing*'.. hm. But then Mr. Cox took over and conducted us all for a while... He's a hell of a better conductor.. We went to the shops and ought some things later on and then went back to the campthingy and had a campfire night..WITH MARSHMALLOWS!! So much fun! And we told scary stories..but there was only about 7 people there, the rest were doing something else.. One story really freaked me out! .And thats strange for me, because not many movies/stories scare me. The one linelle told about the dead mother scared me.... but i can't really write it because it takes away the scariness. Mr Cox came to the campfire after a while and told us some stories and stuff.. then we heard people screaming inside and laughing and sarah came out and goes 'LOOK AT SHOUTY!!!!!! STRAIGHT HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' So we went to see him with straight hair!!!! He looks so much like Jack Black in School of Rock! [Shouty normally has really curly hair..].
4th day we shopped some more, had another rehearsal with St Joeys, and we had a performance in the night with Joeys at some RSL venue. It was really fun.. except bridget hurt her knee so she could barely walk that day, so i stayed with her most of the time. The Performance went exeptionally well. ..I swear, if i have to play an irish party in third class every again, I am going to scream! It's the hardest peice for the clarinets, because i'm the main part along with bridget, and if we get anything wrong its so noticeable.. But hey, we pulled it off once again.
5th day we got up, had brekky, packed the bus with our luggage and left!! It was so sad.. i really didnt want to go home at all. It was so much fun there. Ah well, the bus trip on the way home was good. Some old songs like ummm ones from greece came on and we all sang to them. AHH then the damn Jesse Mccrappy song came on and i put my hands over my ears! Then bridge gave me her pillow and i put that over my ears!! Then Sarah saw me and laughed then did a thumbs-up to me and covered her ears too..
Soo.. that was band camp. Man i did not want to come home.. But hey, long story short, i got kicked out of home, ran away to charlis, my grandma came around to charli's on saturday, then i went to her house.. and if i didn't come back home i would be taken out of clonard. GAH! Im so confused.. First they kick me out, then they want me back? .......gah. Anywho, i'm back home again -_-', i don't want to be, but i don't want to be taken out of clonard either so.. darnit.
Hm... On the bright side, we have battle of the bands tomorrow evening! Hurray!! We're going to beat the pants off Joeys!! ..as always. ...and hopefully we come 1st too, that would be good. Last year we came 3rd out of 6 bands, and we won $250 prize money, and we bet joeys, so our main goal for this year is to come either 1st or 2nd and to beat Joeys..yet again. And, of course we will!
On the dull side, i have exams starting soon. Maths exam tuesday next week, and im not sure when i have the others.. But i'm kinda behind in my school work because of band camp last week, so i need to catch up this weekend..
