mud settles

lao tzu asked "do you have the patience to wait until your mud settles and the water is clear?" nope! but i'm trying. and little by very little, it is settling down.

not that more isn't getting kicked up by the moment, but some is settling, namely, my sense of security and "home".

i started training at joann fabrics today...it's my "normal" job that pays some bills and helps me stay alive. this is going to be a fun place to work, with cute old ladies and gorgeous fabric, and running around unpacking boxes full of fabric and yarn. pixie's a happy gal.

tomorrow i start teaching the little ones in ware, and i am feeling pretty secure in my plans and my abilities. i've spent hours preparing and brainstorming ways to make a "safe place" for them as well as wearing them out and making it fun. it's going to be interesting, that's the least i can say.

i got a library card for the amherst public library today. this makes me feel like part of the community, for some reason. next it's opening a bank account out here so i can keep funds "local". it's an odd feeling being back in amherst as a "person" rather than a student. troy said it best: estranged. but a happy estranged...knowing that this is the place i want to be. blah blah blah.

much love.
