oppressive humidity

so yesterday was (and i quote) "the most oppressive it can be in the northeast region of our country"....and i had to teach yoga in a hot room for an hour and a half. much to my delight, after sweating for around 45 minutes and practicing with the two girls i had in class, i felt loads better. yoga is magic! reason number gajillion that i practice. no wonder people in india do yoga...it makes ya feel all good despite the weather conditions. heh. and two cute boys checked me out.

i finished reading thich naht hanh's "teachings on love" and i highly recommend it to those of us who are desiring a bit of insight into Love and the like...it's a short book, straightforward, and very humbling. makes one feel grateful for having a mom who's alive, even if she does make us a little crazy.
one thing i found interesting: the author suggests that instead of adopting a new religious practice (such as buddhism), that we recognize that the smae principles pervade every religion (i can check that one off) and then return to our roots, to the spiritual roots of our ancestors. now this i think might be very interesting. so here i go, searching for spiritual fulfillment through judaism.
thoughts?

much love, stay cool.
