Character Thoughts
Before Without A Trace actually gives us backstory on Sam this Sunday (ABOUT DAMN TIME TOO!) I figured I'd post my "My Samantha Spade" character summary. Someone did this as a meme a few months ago and I thought it was a really fun idea, so I did a few for "My insert character name here", what I think the character is like, my idea of backstory etcetera, if it strays from canon then assume I wrote it before ____ was canon. :-P and while I'm posting Sam's I guess I'll post the others too :) To make this more meme like since I have long forgotten the original meme you can request I write up a character summary of your choice and I dare you guys to write one up and post it to your LJ, let us see the characters through your eyes! :)
My Sam Spade -
-- Grew up poor
-- Idolized her older sister who let her down by getting married at 18.
-- Got pregnant at 17. Took care of it. Thinks of the kids she finds, and doesn't regret it.
-- Loves Jack because he does the taking care of
-- Loves Martin because he doesn't know how to have a real grown up relationship either.
-- Thinks her hair is her best feature
-- Secretly likes being called Sam
-- lived on the Bogie movies growing up, but likes Casablanca better than Maltese Falcon.
-- goes to Reggie's games with Viv sometimes
-- likes living alone, likes not having to share her space
-- is an FBI Agent. How kewl is that?
-- likes cold pizza for breakfast
-- likes riding in the car with Danny best as he lets her listen to the classics and will sometimes sing along
My Lee Adama -
-- Goes cold in situations he is not used to/unsure of
-- Was always secretly jealous of Zak, even before Kara.
-- Loved his mom more than his dad
-- Didn't mind being the boring Adama boy
-- Was secretly proud when Zak joined the fleet
-- follows the rules when in doubt
-- idolized his dad til he started school
-- hated being the commander's kid
-- used it to his advantage nevertheless throughout school
-- is almost as much a brat as Kara, but in vastly different ways
-- didn't want to have kids and never see them like his dad
-- is sometimes grateful for the apocalypse
-- takes pride in being responsible
-- takes on too much sometimes
-- feels like a failure when he admits that.
My Temperance Brennan -
-- Graduated High school at 16 to get out of the Foster Care System
-- Secretly doesn't mind being called Bones
-- Loves the feel of dirt squishing between her toes
-- has finally found acceptance in life, her niche
-- is ALWAYS on time
-- started wearing jewelery when she met Angela
-- knew a lot more about pop culture when she lived with Russ
-- Saw Star Wars with Russ
-- has faced death for much of her adult life, but not grief
-- inherited her brother's musical tastes
-- wanted to be a marine biologist growing up
-- wanted to be a mermaid before that
-- hired Zack because he reminded her of herself a little
-- appreciates Booth because he doesn't look at her like she's nuts for not knowing things, at least not in a condescending way.
-- wants to find her dad
-- doesn't know how to deal with the fact that her mom is really dead
-- thinks maybe she'll get a christmas tree this year
My Xander Harris -
-- Loves Willow Rosenberg. Period.
-- Still hears his dad call him useless, but has the skills to ignore him now
-- Will never be like his dad. Ever!
-- Occasionally does the snoopy dance in his head.
-- wishes he had done more for Faith
-- really, truly loved Anya
-- still can't get over being a real live watcher
-- wishes he was still in High School sometimes because he hasn't been as close to any group of people since
-- never knew he was good with his hands til he started construction
-- learned to be proud of himself through building things
-- likes the boom! and pretty explosion when he blows things up though
-- is smarter than he pretends to be
-- is a hero.
