Thank you to everyone who's expressed sympathy and support. I know I'll miss my Strapper for a very long time, but I also know it was the right thing to do.
Both Annie and I have been crying a lot. She's very lonely, with no one around during the day, and even in the evenings, I make for a poor substitute. For my sake, I'll need to have another cat around - one who's more cuddly. For her sake, I'll need to get her a companion sooner rather than later. Still, I need some more time for grieving. Whatever kind of cat or kittens I'll get, they won't be black. That would be too painful.
Again, thank you. Although a IRL hug is best, the virtual ones are very appreciated.
