a) pick up a book which is the closest to you at the moment
b) open page 123
c) find the third sentence
d) post it in your Live Journal (plus the instructions)
e) don't choose the book, just pick up the one closest to you
Well, the "closest" book (Tales from the Mabinogian, by Gwyn Thomas & Kevin Crossley-Holland ISBN 0-87951-637-2) didn't have 123 pages. The second "closest" was easier to grab (not being under a pile of paperwork), so it might be considered Temporally Closest. A History of Hand Knitting, by Richard Rutt ISBN 0-934026-35-1 (which, incidentally, was pulled from the shelf in response to one of
romandruid's earlier posts). On page 123, the third sentence is:
This method [using a top-crook and top-string & knitting sheath] was supposed to assist the production of even tension.
