I love Saturn!!

Why I LOVE Saturn:

I bought a Saturn vehicle because A) everyone i know who has a Saturn loves it because they don't really break down, they get pretty good mileage, and they're just nice cars... and B) because when i worked at OnStar I talked to a whole bunch of dealerships all the time and they were all extremely rude with some minor exceptions... all but Saturn. everytime i had to talk to a Saturn dealership they were just very very nice...

so i bought my Saturn for those reasons and lo and behold i had a lot of weird problems with it. nothing that prevented it from being driven really, just annoyances.. ya know, the knob for the heater settings which broke like 6 times... and the hood release lever pulley thing which was replaced 3 times... not big deals, just an annoyance...

now last month i hit an invisible curb pulling into a driveway (i swear, it was invisible!!!) and when i parked the car the ignition would not turn all the way off... the engine would stop but the car would be stuck in accessory mode, basically... so i was trying to fix it, slammed the shifter into park and it started working properly. so i was like, cool. but then last week it did that again and wouldn't be fixed no matter what i did to it. so i'm all bummed, but i think to myself, hey while i'm sitting in the car with it off and listening to the radio, it always shuts itself off after like 30 minutes or so... so i'm thinking that this is what will happen and i will just let it be like that till monday when i can take it in to the dealership. well last night the battery died... the lights had been left on and didn't turn off (cause i couldn't turn the car completely off) and so it died... it jump started immediately and i figured it had just been the lights that did it, but then this morning it wouldn't start again and i was going to be late for work and it was very bad and i was very angry about it......

anyway, i got a ride to work from Johnny (thank you so much!) and dropped my car off at the dealership on the way in... and while i was there i said to the service guy hey do you think that since i've had my car in SOOO many times for stupid problems and since i'm only out of warranty on miles (still within the 3 years, just 12000 miles over limit) that maybe we can cut a deal with the cost for this? and the guy was like Bob the Service Manager is really cool and he'll probably be able to help you out. Bob the Service Manager is a very very cool guy, btw, he is always awesome in explaining stuff, and remembers who i am (well, then again, i had to be there a LOT at that time)... but he is just really really cool....

well i called at my lunch to see whats up and it turns out they replaced the ignition cylinder and also fixed the button on my shifter which was messed up somehow and they covered the ENTIRE thing!!! I assumed that i would still have to pay the initial look-over fee but NO!
so this is why I love Saturn. I do not want to buy another vehicle that is not a Saturn again, and I will tell everyone I know that they should buy a Saturn, and they are just totally cool. Saturn of Warren is where I go and they are very awesome, but I'm sure every other Saturn dealership is awesome too.

woo woo!

thats about it. :)
