its been a while...
well, its been a while...
i lost my job and got a new one...
i have 5 cats and 7 total people living in my house right now...
not a whole lot actually new though!
anyway, since i haven't written in a long ass time, i'm going to start back up now.....
so i got this new job and its very strange... its a call center and its not like my old call center... old call center was extrememly strict on rules and stuff, and run very efficiently. new call center is just starting up and nobody knows what the fuck they're doing. i want to like, take over sometimes! but the new sup is very stupid and doesn't seem to know what she's doing and apparently all the other employees really hate her and half of them are going to quit and its very weird...the first two days on the job i sat and read a book and did crossword puzzles... weird... but anyway, we had 2 days of training last week on how to use the actual system, and this week i am in Colorado on training, basically just sitting around and listening to the people take the calls. it is the same system, so its easy to follow and seems like it'll actually be alright...
anyway, this is what i wrote on paper while i was at work today, approximately 4:30pm.....
today was a pretty ok day... i learned a lot by listening to the calls coming in. alina is pretty knowledgeable on whats going on. cheryl said that bruce was much better and i'll sit with him on thursday so i'll get to know what different people do with the calls. cheryl said that alina is really disorganized. oh well. she is giving me the info and training that i need so its ok. i hope that our call center is run as well as this one. i'm a little worried about vallorie being a crappy sup though.
i got really tired at 2:30 again, same as yesterday. i mean yesterday i had just gotten up super early and had just gotten off a plane, so that was to be expected i guess. its really really damn cold here and its going to be really more fucking cold tomorrow... it was ok though, cause i just went outside to smoke and it really woke me up.
so yesterday, we were driving around and I saw:
a Sonic - which is way cool cause we don't have them in michigan, even though we have the commercials....
a tumbleweed - which is just really really cool!!
and
a prairie dog - that one i finally said out loud and felt like a little kid, but it was neat to actually see one and not in a zoo... and then upon closer inspection there were a lot of them and they were all over and in little groups running around... neat!
so then the other funny thing, which was only kinda funny... we go outside to smoke and there is a door stopper in the path to the cubby hole to smoke in.. and i tripped over it, and then the woman who came out after me tripped over it... so then the next time i came out after lunch, i tripped over it AGAIN and actually fell!! i think i put a little tear in my pants (bummer), but the thing that i had to laugh about was that tripping actually knocked my shoes off!!! which is just funny as hell and i'm sure certain people will agree and be very fucking amused by that :) granted, my shoes are kinda loose with these socks on, but still... :)
tonight the boss is going out again, so i'm having him stop at 7-11 so that i can get smokes (like 4 packs so i make sure i don't run out) and then i'm going to try to get him to stop at subway so i can get something for dinner... otherwise i'll just get something at 7-11.. i guess... i don't want to have to drive tonight since it snowed and i'm not familiar with the mini-van OR the roads.. hopefully we can do subway (we did).
i miss being at home. i miss everyone. i keep wanting to call home just to talk but i think people are getting annoyed because they have their own lives and don't need to talk to me...... :)
