(no subject)
Today was our offical day with the new Dr. I woke up at 6:30am and got to work at 8am (an hour early) to get charts prepared for the day. It should have been quiet and relaxing. But not even 15 minutes after I got there, the guy who is suppose to program more security codes shows up. Then his company was trying to connect to the internet or something but it kept calling our phone instead and hanging up. Definitely pissed me off a little bit. Anyway, I barely finished charts before patients started arriving at 20 to 9:00am. Little tip for people. Don't show up early for your doctor's appointment especially if you are schedule first in the morning. For one, you won't be seen until your appointment time. Anyway, I took the phones off answer at 9am. After about 50 phone calls in 20 minutes. I started thinking of escapes. I could run out the back door. Hmmm. I'm not evening lying. I didnt even have time to right down the first message before the rest of the lines started ringing. After a half hour my old Dr. called. He asked how things were going and wished me luck. He said he already missed us. I begged for him to come back. Then I went back to work. Kim told me around 10:30am I should take a break and run to Speedway. She laughed when I said that I wouldnt come back if I went. Man, I was serious. Then to top things off we got Bennigans for lunch. The thought of their food makes me sick to my stomach. Luckily Speedway is right next door so I got a mountain dew slurpee and hot dog instead. Damn, that hot dog was delicious. Well after 10 hours of work, my voice is nearly gone and my body aches all over. I don't like it. Everything the new Dr does is the exact opposite of my old Dr. I miss my old doctor. I was comfortable around him. You could joke with him and even pick on him. This doctor is nice too but its just not the same. I've been sending resumes out left and right. If I get a call, I'm gone. Sometimes I wonder if Shelly got the better end of the deal by getting laid off. Rachel came up today and said goodbye to us and she gave me some of her scrub tops. I'm going to miss her the most.
