Kassi and I are going up north this weekend! I am happy, even though we are going somewhere COLDER over Spring Break. My uncle is letting me go to his house there...not bad eh?
Last night was awesome. I love our little Thursday night party clan. Also, my sister and I have the power to get anyone drunk against their will I do believe. Oh, and don't play scene it with me because I am too good.
I love my roommate Christi and we had roomie bonding last night and it was fabulous. and i love kassi and andrew and drew. and lots mo'.
umm i had the opportunity to go to PCB with my cousins for spring break. only 174 for the week +kegs and breakfast...haha why kegs i dont know...? i was torn but i consulted some friends and my mumma and i decided not to go. it's probably best, although 174 is ridiculously cheap i still cant really afford a trip right now. plus i wouldnt get any studying or homework done.
SO I am heading home this afternoon, I am just very lazy right now and don't feel like packing or anything.
Let's see. My Uncle Gary died a week ago today. WOW, a week already. He was in having an artery fixed and his heart just stopped beating after a few hours, it was unexpected. He was the nicest, funniest, friendliest guy in the world. He had really bad diabetes, several toes amputated because of them, heart disease, you name it. My mom called him "a walking time bomb" I miss him so much, we were very close but I feel like I was just now forming an adult relationship with him. Something other than hugs and kisses and how are you's and how is school and i love you's and see you at easter. It's not fair. My cousin tim, his oldest son, is getting married in May. That alone breaks my heart. There were so many people at his funeral and visitations. It was a long long weekend and I spent most of it at my aunts keeping her and my cousins company. He was a teacher, and assistant principal at bishop foley and by seeing all his old students that came really tells ya something. "you can tell a lot about a person by how many friends they have." i learned a lot of things about him, theres actually this cool memorial website that has his life story, a guest book, a place where you can submit memories about him, lifestorynet.com even though whoever reads this doesn't know my uncle but his name is gary betzler, and on the website there are other names, someone you know may be registered. so some things i learned about him...he's totally one of those teachers from the movies. the ones who leave such a strong impact on him. he retired in '95 and ever since then students and coworkers kept in contact with him and visited at him all the time. My poor aunt. she's a nurse and about 5 years ago was when his problems really started to escalate so she was his angel for as long as i can remember, always taking care of him. She said something over the weekend that really stuck. "no more doctor visits, no more giving him his shots, no more amputating, no more blood transfussions, no more hassel, but I still want him back" They were married for 32 years. cutest damn couple i have ever seen. gosh i could go on and thanks to anyone who read this. I miss him so much and I am so scared for the next family gathering that he isn't at...
Oh and my family is incredibly strong. Family is the most important thing in the whole wide world.
To all my friends going on Spring Break-please be safe and have lots of fun fun fun!
