Update:

Lets see...first off, things in a sense fell through with Hyatt. They ended up wanting to move me to Newport, California, or Whichitta, Kansas..and although my ultimate goal is to get the hell out of here...i can't go anywhere just yet. Not seeing Pat for 8 months is not something I want to do, plus there is no guarantee I would be able to come back here or anywhere and well...things are still in the air. So although I was really excited about Hyatt, I am going to have to turn down their offer, i just can't do it yet. But not all is lost, I had a job interview yesterday with the Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston. I also have contacts for the Ritz-Carlton in Copley, and the Boston Harbor Hotel. Right now i plan to work in Boston making at LEAST $13.50 an hour..which is the going rate for an entry level position. I really want to stay close so when Pat finds a job the two of us can go anywhere..thats really why im looking at working for hotels with chains. I can move through the company.

The wedding is starting to become more and more real. The guest list is finalized, the contract of agreement with disney is signed, the room block list is final, i chose my colors, and all my bridesmaids are accounted for...yay! Now i just have to choose their dress..and i would really like to know where my dress is? Its been a good amount of time...it should be here. I was looking at my ring the other night when i was really really drunk, and i started to cry. Not because i have the ring or anything..but because that its an heirloom. Candace was nice enough to write down the rings history for me, I am the third "soon to be" member of the white family who has been the owner of this ring and I was just really touched, it just makes you feel more in the family i guess is what im saying. Granted it was falling apart when i first saw it and pat had to change the ring setting, the stone is over 75 years old? 75 or 85 i forget which... Granted if anyone knew the true history of diamonds (just recently learned in my protocol class) the diamond ring isn't that special. Gentleman used to give out other precious stones like saphires, opals, emeralds..etc. The diamond didn't become a trend until the 1800's i believe with Tiffany Co.'s first "Solitaire setting" their marketing plan was to market it as the strongest stone ever...yes folks this is what i learn in Events Ceremonies and Protocol!!

And how the White wedding dress came to be...thanks to Queen Victoria, the first queen to marry for love decided to wear a white wedding dress to break the trend of wearing just your most elaborate fabric, she just wanted to stand out instead of blending in with everyone's best attire. She was all the rage! It didn't mean purity, innocence or anything until the Puritans deemed it so over a 100 years later. Im full of this shit...for example..why do all the bridesmaids match? It use to be that the bridesmaids wore the same dress as the bride to of course ward off evil spirits so when they came to steal the bride..they didn't know which one to steal, future eventually deemed they should just all match. Also, why does the groom stand to the right of the bride? Because of his sword hand, if during the ceremony a barbarian came to steal the bride the groom could just grab his sword and protect his damsel in distress, as for the groomsmen? They were is fellow knights to help protect the women...yeah i know its sick that I retained all this crap. Also, why does the groom "carry the bride over the doorway of the new home?"...well once again to ward off evil spirits who may be waiting around the corner. We all know why the bride wears a veil so I won't elaborate on that...but yeah i love my classes haha. I know shit like...why there is a wedding cake, the history of the honeymoon, why we take one. what something old, new, borrowed and blue each seperatly means..and don't forget the penny in your shoe! Also why it is soooo important to have sex on your wedding night. Why we have flower girls and ring bearers, why the bride walks down on a white isle runner or any color isle runner. Im stopping here..but i could go on. :-)

However that same night i was really touched about a lot of things..especially when Vinny braught a brand new bottle of Bailey's haha. yeah good times, yay st patty's day!

It was so fun, I am so glad i got to go over and spend the holiday with everyone. Its so nice being back in the swing of things with everyone in apartment 5302. I love you guys!! Pictures are available on facebook if anyone cares to take a peek. This turned out longer than i planned...so i am going to end it here...
