Damsel and the Dragon chapter 2
Here's chapter two!
~*~*~*~ Chapter 2: The One? ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The four pairs of eyes belonged to the four Faire Fey. The one with amethyst eyes had silver hair, wore lilac wool strapless dress with a wool plum hooded cape, white leggings, lilac cloth boots tied with white ribbon, and lilac armbands tied with white ribbon. She also had iridescent purple dragonfly wings.
The one with sapphire eyes had midnight blue hairs, wore a light blue long sleeved dress with a darker blue wool hooded cape, alternating blue striped leggings, and dark blue cloth boots. She had lightly feathered blue butterfly wings.
The one with honey eyes has soft brass hair, wore a red dress with ¾ quarter length sleeves tied with a gold sash along with a scarlet, dark red leggings with gold stars, and dark red cloth boots. She had six lovely alternating red and gold wings.
The last girl, the one with mint eyes had blonde hair with mint tips wore a cream turtle neck dress with green sleeves, mint and cream polka dot tights, and wore dark green boots. She had mint with cream wings. They’re names were Serenity, Trinity, Emione and Stella, and were called the Faire Fey. The Faire Fey lived in the forest and were of course, magical. But, if you tried to catch them, well let’s just say you wouldn’t be coming home again. Other than that though, they’re kind, caring, and very helpful.
“Is she the one?” Stella asked.
Serenity shook her head,
“No her sister Autumn is.”
“So we are using that little girl as bait to lure Autumn out?” Trinity asked.
“Precisely.” Serenity answered. “Brilliant idea with the snow by the way Em.”
“Why thank you, I just hope she doesn’t get hurt.” Emione replied.
“It won’t.” Serenity reassured watching through the bushes.
Normal POV
Raia cautiously looked around for patches of ice. She looked up and gasped. An ancient crumbling castle lay in front of her. She swung down from Buttercup and took a step forward, leading her by the reins. She began making her way towards the castle only to be stopped in her tracks by an ear shattering roar. In fright she tripped over a stone and dropped the reins. The frightened mare ran off into the woods.
“Hey, wait come back!’ Raia yelled trying to stand. She gasped and fell down.
“Ow, I think I twisted my ankle.” She said.
“Great, just fantastic!” she muttered. She sighed and dug into her pocket for the calling charm. She frowned and looked on the ground for it.
“Oh no! I left it in the saddlebags!” she said paling.
“Help! Someone? Anyone?” Raia began yelling.
Faire Fey
“Oh no! Poor thing got hurt!” Emione said.
Serenity shrugged,
“This works to our advantage though.”
“Yeah, because she’ll have to stay at the castle and that would give Autumn a reason to come.” Trinity elaborated.
“But she broke her ankle how is she going to get in?” Emione asked.
“We’ll get Miran to help!” Stella answered.
“Well let’s go!” Serenity said shifting until she was one tenth her original size. The others did the same and together they flew to the castle.
Miran
I was in the library leafing through some books when they came flying in. I looked up and smiled,
“What’s up girls?” I asked.
They began flying around me and tugging my clothes.
“Hey, hey what’s going - oh wait I forgot you guys can’t talk in this form or if you’re out of the woods.” I suddenly realized. They nodded and flew towards the door. The stopped and motioned for me to follow them. I complied and soon we were outside. They had led me to a girl with green hair and brown eyes. I knelt beside her.
“Hello, my name’s Miran. What’s yours?” I asked.
“M-mine’s R-r-r-aia.” She chattered, shivering. I noticed she was shivering and I stood up offering my hand. She took it and tried standing up but fell with a hiss of pain. I noticed her left ankle was swelling and I pieced together that it was twisted.
“Do you think you can lean on me and we’ll walk to the castle? I live there and it’s only a little ways, I’m sure we can make it.
She nodded and shakily leaned on me. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders to help support her and we walked or should I say limped to the castle. I helped her onto a plush couch near the cackling fireplace. She smiled and said “thank-you.” I smiled back and replied
“you’re welcome; I’m going to find you something for your ankle.” I turned to the fey and looked at them suspiciously. they smiled and flew over to Raia who gasped. I shook my head and left the room. I turned to go up the stairs and was met with cold blue eyes. Uh-oh big brother is awake and he does not look happy….
