I love fall. I've been smelling it in the air these past few mornings. The evenings have also been lovely. The other night the tops of the trees were rippling in the wind and I suddenly wanted to find a way onto my roof to sit and watch them.
It's been a job settling into our new home. I want it to feel comfortable and lived-in, but I want it to look nice. We only have a couple boxes left in the living room, but the bedroom is still a mess. I apparently have too much clothing. I have more than will fit in 3 dressers, a good-sized closet, and a trunk (currently holding most of my sweaters/sweatshirts).
But life has been good. Peter and I are slowly but surely becoming more daring in the culinary arena. Our little kitty, Mickey, is healthy and growing a silky black coat. We're hanging up paintings, pictures, and diplomas bit by bit (It's hard to pick just the right place to hang things up!).
Everyone at work knows that we only own one car. Apparently I'm somewhat of a novelty since my husband drops me off and picks me up from work. Most of my other coworkers lease Audis or own Lexuses or whatever.
I'm excited to decorate the apartment for the Fall (Halloween/Thanksgiving). We picked up a few decorations at the Parsippany Fall Festival this past weekend, but they are easily overlooked. I can't tell if my apartment is "cluttered" or if I'm just too used to looking at it. I think I need to do some cleaning and some putting away of the things that still remain.
