I'M BACK!

Okay so I think the last time I posted in this thing was a billion years ago...okay maybe it was this summer but it might as well be a billion years ago. Everythings is going great..same ol' same ol'. ROTC is busy like usual. I was MWR OIC this past semester and now I am Vice Squadron commander. Its a jump up in rank but me being the ever so busy bee, will probably be bored by this job. It doesn't require alot of work which is dissapointing to me. I know why they gave it to me. All my ROTC career (past three years) all I ever heard was Cadet Curtis your doing too much. I volunteer for everything and I help out in ever single job. Everyone loves the fact that I do this and I recieved GMC of the month more times than any other person at that detachment has ever gotten it and now I am starting that record again for POC of the month but then two semesters ago I got below a 2.5 GPA and went on conditional...now everyone is worried about me. hahaha oh well my GPA went way way up this past semester and it should prove to them that I can do it. I just have to make the best of being a Vice Commander. Its a good job, I just like to be more involved. To tell the truth I was hoping for Squadron Commander.
Christmas was AWESOME! I love being home and spending time with my family. And what did I get for Christmas? EVERYTHING I asked for and then some. My mom really went all out this year on Christmas. Okay so here is what I got…its flipping awesome!
I got the DVD Twelve O’clock High, the DVD Heartbreak Ridge, Band of Brothers, The book Supreme Command, The book American Generalship: Character is everything the art of command, The book How to Win Friends and Influence People (Capt. Amato told us to read it before we commission) I got this Stamina Ab/Hyper exercise thing that I LOVE it’s the piece of equipment I use every time I go to the gym, I got a mini stepper that simulates running up stairs since they closed off the stadium to people who want to work out, I got a garmin forerunner it basically is this thing you wear like a watch that has a GPS inside of it and it tells you how many miles you’ve ran and it also has a pacer that you can set so that if you tell it you want to run no slower than a 7 minute mile when you drop below that range when running an alarm will sound letting you know to speed up, My mom was creative and got me a pair of LUCKY JEANS! Okay so I love lucky clothing, but I can not afford any of it let alone a pair of jeans and she picked out an extremely cute pair of jeans for me from Lucky, I almost had a heart attack, my first pair of luckys! She also got my sister and me these black pajama bottoms and this turquoise shirt from Old Navy that is EXTREAMLY cute. My sister and I joked that ever since she lost all that weight her fashion sense is starting to come out.
We basically got up that morning started cooking breakfast around 9am and my brother, sister and dad showed up around 9:30am we ate breakfast, opened the stalkings, and then opened presents where we invented this game of who could bury the cat in wrapping paper the most before it went all spastic. So we would open a gift and throw the wrapping paper on the cat and it would lie there for a bit and then all of the sudden it would think someone is attacking it and go crazy. Hahaha there is a reason why the cat’s name is circus peanut! After opening all the gifts we called the relatives and I went over to visit my friend Gloria and her husband Josh and their baby Gabby. Gloria is stationed in San Diego, she is in the Navy and was down for a couple of days. Well basically my Christmas goes on and on like this but I’ll end it now for fear of boring you.
Last night we had a girls and baby night. Basically Val, Gloria, Bekah, and myself went out to dinner and Bekah and Gloria brought their babies along. Bekah’s son Jaden is adorable, he had just turned a month old, I’ll put the picture of me holding him up later. Gloria’s daughter Gabby, is a true girl! She loves my cell phone and she would grab anyone’s purse to put on her shoulder and carry around as if it was her own purse. She barely speaks but she knows hello and thank you very well so that’s all she would say. After that Bekah, baby Jaden and Bekah's husband Shawn and I went over to Liz and Davianna's place and visited with them for a couple of hours. I pretty much have been spending my break hanging out mainly with Bekah, her husband Shawn and their baby. Shawn’s sister Charlene went to High school with me and oh my goodness her daughter Alexia is absolutely gorgeous and is quite the rambunctious one I know I know…I am only 20 years old and the majority of the people I went to High school with are married, pregnant, or just had a baby. I think I am past my prime! I should be married and with child by now. Gees hahaha. Tonight I am going out to dinner with my friends from not only High school but Jr. High and elementary school too, we've been friends forever! Its going to be, Megan, Camille, Ammanjit, Shannon, Stephanie, Ashley, and myself of course I am excited. We’re basically celebrating Megan’s recent discovery of her pregnancy! I know another is pregnant.
I head back to Fresno tomorrow because I have to get back to work and I forgot to pay my rent before I left…hahaha bad me! Well I better end this before it gets any longer! Tata!
