Why what lovely weather we are having!
Omg! It is soooo nice out today. It feels like spring. Seems to me that the groundhog called it this year. THANKS PHIL! Anywho, I don’t know what it is but everything today feels just perfect. There’s only a light breeze, and I just walked from the student center to here in the library without even wearing a coat. The current temperature is 42 degress Fahrenheit. Sweet. So what is it about spring that makes you (or at least me) feel so dang good. It even smells like sping out there! What does spring smell like though? There definitely aren’t any flowers blooming yet. Does subliming snow have a scent? Maybe…..
Its not that I don’t like winter, but things are always more exciting when they are first beginning. When it starts to get warm, its like you can feel the freedom just coming your way, and by freedom I , of course, mean summer vacation! I have about 12 weeks left… maybe a little less depending on when my math final is. I’m just so exciting to walk outside barefoot and be at home for nearly 4 whole months. I’m excited that I’ll (hopefully) be waitressing and making enough money to both save some and spend some on leisure.. like movies! And drive-ins! Parks?! Restaurants! Wal-Mart! Mall! It’s just very exciting, I want to play, people!
I wont lie, so far this first year of college hasn’t been so amazingly great. Sure I like that I’m better rested and don’t get all kinds of garbage busywork, basically classes are fine. It’s just that things here can get boring and lonely. And I’m just so ready to go out and DO SOMETHING rather than sit in my loft in my dorm room staring at a computer screen and doing math and watch hgtv. I feel much like Belle in “Beauty and the Beast”…. “Every morning just the same, since the morning that we came to this poor provincial town” Though I do not want to meet a beast in a castle and become his prisoner, that would not be cool.
That’s all I guess, I just had a break between chem and calc and didn’t feel like napping since the weather was so nice and I wasn’t too sleepy feeling and I wanted to share my feelings about the beautiful weather.
Also, I am so excited to go home in two weekends to see some friends and Joseph.
