Reading, not writing
I've not written much for a long time now. I seem not to have very much of interest to say - or lack the means, time or inclination to put my nebulous thoughts into words. So I thought I'd just share a few blog posts that have provoked thoughts in the last couple of days. Please note this is one of my public posts, so you might want to bear that in mind if you post comments. Anyway, interesting links:
ASBO Jesus asks What is this Wilderness?. (Short cartoon.)
Sophia Network constantly challenges me to think about the shape of society, particularly in relation to how it views, shapes and treats women. I'm not sure I enjoyed it, but Working with girls has given me food for thought; having read the review of Living Dolls I may have to read that, too.
On a more positive note, Chris Erdman's blog has been stimulating for my mind and soul. I loved the comparison of the ego to a naughty child. But I was really struck by Prayer of the Heart: Letting Go and have been reading and rereading it to really try and absorb it.
Reading back on Subversive Influence, I came across this beautiful Blessing of Hands, which I will hopefully use in a service soon. Isn't it lovely?
