It's really quite simple to do on accident. I'm starting to wonder if whoever made these made it that easy to mess up on purpose.

[All the while he's playing with the PCD, fingers flying across the keys. In the two years he's been here, he really has adapted quite well to electronics.]

I wouldn't be too surprised, seeing how these things seem to have a mind of their own.
