I had the opportunity today to say to a co-worker "So, I hear you're about to XYZ! Congratulations! How will that affect my group? What's your transition plan?" when he's apparently not allowed to talk about XYZ.
Made him nervous, and he even asked about my sources.
Who I didn't divulge. "I keep my ears to the ground, and cultivate relationships," was my answer to him.
It pleased me quite geekily.
