Tech, interrupted

I'm currently up against a wall with all the configuration/life improvements I want to make with my technology. Some products don't exist (Touchdown integration with Locale or Tasker would rock), some don't work (the DLNA server on my NAS), and some I know I'm only scratching the surface of (Tasker itself).

However, today's accomplishment of remotely triggering a Vuze torrent download? Brill. Thank you, LifeHacker. From any properly configured machine (including my phone or tablet) I can download a torrent into a Dropbox folder that's monitored by my laptop. So, in about 20 minutes (for all syncing windows to line up--I'm using all free apps), the torrent download begins.

That's a kind of magic, let me tell you. I love the cloud.

Now, if the NAS was streaming right, I could do the download on my PC which I more rarely use, have it copy the file over to the NAS on completion, and then I could easily watch the downloaded show on my TV, my tablet, or my laptop. Booyah! I'm assuming I can't watch the DLNA content over the internet, right? That would be too much. Baby steps, baby steps.

Come on, Seagate. Help a sister out.
