Portacath, how do you do?

Sep 10, 2011 14:52

Apparently I have a very appealing internal jugular. This is the vein they tap into for the portacath procedure I had on Thursday. No more interminable sounding for veins. No delay in meds. I can't wait to test it. Except for how I can. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing disproportionate residual pain afterwards. Limited external motion of the right arm without distress. Which is stupid and not supposed to happen. It's a superficial procedure, after all. Since there's no swelling, the vascular surgeon says to give out two more days. Of whining, but that's not on his tab, so you know.

Graphics courtesy of google body, which I installed on my tablet because the TV made it look cool. I could also show you the wrong pectoral that's hurting, because they don't have mine. Silly Google.
