The skirt is from Zara and has its own petticoats (which come in useful on a windy day like today). The corset is not custom-made. It's from Farthingales LA. The blouse is this from Ann Taylor Loft: "Button front shirt in a textured clip dot fabric with fine open weave stripes. Mandarin collar with self-fabric neck tie and tiered self-fabric ruffle at collar and cuffs. Six-button closure with fabric covered buttons. Cap sleeves. Slight flare at hem."
Lovely top, but it has a tendency to unbutton itself and has been pinned in self defense.

This isn't precisely the outfit that got me busted...I was wearing a white blouse instead of black, and a black velvet blazer over all of it. Black and white striped tights and granny boots finished off the outfit.

NO MORE! No more underwear as outerwear.

It was a very painfree conversation, and my boss has no problem himself with how I dress. But there's a new policy out, and a lot of things aren't going to be allowed anymore. I was called specifically for the corset, but there are probably others that don't pass the test. Sleeveless dresses shouldn't be a problem--it's cold--I only wear them under cardigans or jackets. I don't know the difference between dress slacks and slacks, so I will ignore that and just wear non-chino, non-khaki, non-cargp-pants, non-jeans during Mon-Thurs. I hope my silk knits don't count as T shirts, but mostly if I avoid corsetry and make sure my skirts are long enough, I should be okay. I think. Maybe no short jeans skirts on Fridays, dammit. I was enjoying the hell out of those.
