What a crazy 24 hours!
Yesterday, while playing WoW, my computer staretd going all spazzy and pixellating the images. I just thought it was the game & restarted it, but then it did it again, so I stopped playing.
Then, last night, as I was reading some lovely Dollar Bill/Mothman fic, I noticed as I was scrolling up & down, weird blue splotches started appearing on the screen. It kept getting worse & worse, so I tried to reboot, but as soon as it got to the little Windows flag, crazy, insane pixellating started happening. Then, it just died & my monitor said that there was no connection (the computer had shut off, but not completely). I tried rebooting some more, but no damn luck, so my poor little computer is kaput (I could hear the hard drive getting quieter & quieter as it died).
I didn't get hardly any sleep (or at least good sleep) last night because of being anxious over it. I tried to work on my Dan/Rorschach fic in my head, but music from In the Heights kept replaying like a horrible earworm. I finally moved out to the recliner at 2am, and watched a little King of the Hill before going back to sleep.
The good news in all of this is that I was able to get some more funds from CitiFinancial on my loan, so I can get my butt over to Best Buy in a little bit and pick up a new computer! It really, really sucks to have lost all of my lovely JEH pics & all the fics I had bookmarked, but now I get to find them again. At least WoW was installed on my external hard drive, so I don't have to reload it. The computer I'm looking at it is a Vista, so I get to try it out.
I'll make a post later tonight to ask for any JEH/Watchmen pics anyone might have. Gotta rebuild my poor Boys folder, lol.
