No Blinkin This Way...

So I downloaded the BBC's Robin Hood recently for a friend and well I was curious so of course I watched a few-all of the episodes. Sort of hooked me I suppose, I admit new convert here. Now I have another thing to pine for come October as if SPN wasn't enough. *sigh*

WTF on the killing of Marian? Dude, I did not see that coming. Then again the legend never really has her skewered now does it. At first I was all flabbergasted and confused as to how they could fix this, then after some googling and such I became strangely comfortable with the idea. As long as we don't get a Jo next year I'll be fine. However I'm a pretty easy-going audience member so the writers have their work cut out for them. And something tells me it won't be the children who won't forgive them. Introduce a character correctly and all should be well, difficult and pain-staking perhaps, but it'll work out. Hopefully.

Then again if she is in someway related to Marian and assumes the duties of the Night-Watchman and blah-blah-blah I will take issue. Replacing a love interest is one thing, replacing a character with someone who simply has a new name and face but the same motivations and voice is so not okay.  They have a credible shot if they create someone wholly new and interesting and multi-dimensional.I

I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope they know that, as I don't know them well enough to assume they do.

So, any other RH fans out there on my loverly f-list? Care to commiserate with me?
